    I have seen this recently. Seems like they are trying to compete with Smittybuilt.

    What is the difference in components between these and their higher end winches?

    The VR series uses a different motor and drivetrain, also uses Soleniods over a contact pack. For example the M8000 now comes with a contactor where as the VR8000 has traditional solenoids. Other difference will be in the finish like the black tierods instead of the polished.
