    I am going to take a shot in the dark and say that installing Spybot recently and the computer slowing to a stall is completely coincidental...

    And even though some people like it, I would never recommend Norton to anyone. That's just me though... I am just not a fan of how taxing it is on my RAM. This all coming from a guy who is still running Vista (RAM whore)...:rolleyes:

    Yeah I'm running Vista as well. It is a RAM hog, and it bogs the system down from time to time. I'm thinking I might upgrade to 7 soon but I don't have any experience installing OS's.

    I am overall unfamiliar with it, but from what I have heard from others is that will protect your computer. Little taxing on the RAM as well, but it is free correct?

    Back up your files, songs, pics, etc. Insert new OS disk, follow instructions....

    He may have some driver compatibility issues that would need to be fleshed out. There is a program that I know of that pretty much tells you all of your drivers and whether they are compatible with different operating systems. That is why I haven't upgraded yet. My graphics card isn't compatible with Windows 7

    I can't due to my graphics card issue. My roommate does though, and it runs just as well as mine and takes up very little RAM

    Thats good.

    So not everything is 7 compatible yet?? Hopefully before the end of the year, I'll at least get started on my computer build, so I guess I need to be on the lookout for compatibility.

    That's correct. I don't see my card becoming compatible either, as it isn't lucrative to make the driver for this card that I have. They don't even make it anymore. Most people won't have issues, I am just saying that the possibilities are out there.
