Fair lol, I walked the parking lots at the con looking at all the fun rides... looooots of Subarus.

The fact that I could assemble this contraption without even going to the store isn’t going to help my hoarding tendencies .

 

Ah okay, well good on ya for sticking with it. Spokane is a Subaru kinda place and my buddy and I's shop doesn't deal with the things if we can avoid it. The risk to reward is tough to justify when Josh Bader is in the same town.

 

So uh... what is it? World's longest pallet, shallowest oil change pit, a really bad lean-to?

 

I I guess it’s an adapter to let me go pick up a delivery truck box later, for use as storage at our rental place in Colorado.

 

Oh that makes sense, gotta simulate the frame width.

 

And keep it above the fenders. If my estimations are correct I should be able to use a couple pieces of steel tube to let me roll it off the back on arrival.

 

Truck box sounds like a good storage place and probably easier to move yourself vs a shipping container

 

Yeah it seems pretty ideal, has the translucent roof, is relatively light and also only $800

 

I like the idea, my basement is where I store spare stuff (that doesn't smell too much like a car part at least). It's big and open, but having outdoor storage would be nicer, and involve less stairs. I have another weird planter that abuts the house to get rid of first so I can park more cars in back.

 

does the tour come with complimentary refreshments per chance

honestly surprised it hasn't been done sooner. It is in poor taste though, mostly imo because nearly 1/3 of the victims were children who were only there because their parents were brainwashed into following around some idiot in his doomsday cult

 

Depends on the tone. Sometimes it's good for people to think about horrible things. Given the timeline we're on, I'll assume the worst.

 

The amount of redhats making "shock bait" videos in the Holocaust museum should tell you the current state of things previously thought to have universal good will.

 

Yeah. It's being done as an obvious shock and awe money grab. If they focused on making it a remembrance for the innocent victims (hard to feel sorry for the adults but there were a lot of kids there) and an educational tool on the dangers of cult followings then I could get behind it.

 

A display there on how to recognize a cult could be very very helpful, and that place sure has the context to go with it.

 

We have to be reminded of our past to not do it again in the present. That's what I say. Not all history is good, but we need not to forget all of it.
