Got Frank back from paint and just finished putting everything back together. Have to let it degas for a few weeks I was told then I can do some buffing but honestly as it sits I am completely happy, looks so much better.

Got a couple issues going on with my door latches and locks that I’m hoping you guys can shed some light on.

My driver door lock makes a horrible grinding noise when actuating with the power switch. I can lock it manually just fine. I suspect I need a new lock actuator to fix that and this is the part number I found. 6904004010. It is quite expensive from Toyota ($430 MSRP), but I have seen lots of sub-$50 parts online.

My rear door latch is having an issue where after opening, a piece of the latch is not springing up into position so when you close the door, it doesn’t latch. I have to stick my finger in the hole in the door (ha) and move the latch up so that it will catch when the door is closed. If this isn’t done, the door will bounce back open when closed. Anyone had this issue before? Seems like a spring has just gotten weak inside the catch mechanism of the door latch.

I’m away from the truck right now so I’m not able to attach any pictures, but I’d like to tackle these issues when I get back home next week.

THE HEAT INDEX AND PROJECTED RAIN DIDN'T STOP ME TODAY

I scored a mini snowmobile trailer off Facebook Marketplace for $350 with title so that I can put the frame on it to transport it from my backyard to the garage.

Then I used another Tacoma to drag it out of the woods lol
    IMG_8745 2.jpg

Removed Leaf Springs off the frame, much like everything else had to torch em out and use a BFH. No joke about an hour to get these bastards off.

Did a massive upgrade over the weekend.
Got rid of the stock dying goose horn and replaced it with some Amazon specials.
Took some creativity, it was a tight fit.
Otherwise it was too hot in Tucson to do anything outside for more the thirty minutes.

Ha! I was driving down the highway today and had to use my horn at a lady that pulled out in front of me, and I could BARELY even hear my own horn. Lol. This seems like a worthy upgrade.
