I used to live in a neighborhood that did that. TG I finally got out of there.

Our downtown has flags lining both main streets, plus the usual ones on the street lamps, the Scouts do it and gather them up at the end of the day :oldglory:

Well it had to be done. Removed my OEM running boards after 14+ years. The passenger side rear mount and a little of the body where it's mounted was really sketchy. It would have ripped something apart had someone stood on it. Rather that fight the body mount bolts, I just used my sawzall to cut the brackets up high enough just above the pinch weld angled up towards the frame. Probably only an inch or so left where they attach to the body. Can't see them at all from ground level. Hit what remained of the brackets with Surface Shield.

hey team 'leave it the f*ck alone'. Hope ya'll made it through the weekend with all your fingers and toes. We got 7" of rain here in 3 hours last night. Power out for 4-5 hours. Insane. Cannot imagine what it was like in Kerrville.

AC is working like a champ. Today we upgrade the wifi. Slowly catching up to the 21st century.

    Still keeping my truck though.

I remember when I was a kid at the old house (ironically on the same road 5 minutes away from my current one) the township would put those flags by everyone's mailbox.

After asking Pastor McLane about his family's vacation the previous week on Sunday, he told me about fishing the St. Joe River from the top, great fishing and running white water they (he and his brother) did not expect, they found his (Ford) pickup had its first flat tire. (You know what comes next.) Learning that the supplied jack does not have enough reach to lift the tire off the ground...
I looked yesterday, and found a 4-ton all-in-one frame lift bottle jack and locking jack stand combo ($150 drop shipped from the factory). Ordered two, one for Barcelona Red and one as a gift for Mac (and his brother).
From Northern (formerly Northern Hydraulics). I plan to repaint it with the old rattle cans, undercoated silver with orange or red above.
VLEDS 25% off holiday sale, starting with reduced prices and the VLR6 resistors included in the bulb kits. A happy Fourth through Seventh!

We made it over the hump... 1 more to go. I'm playing hookie on Friday, I'm getting the windshield replaced in the Taco (non-OE) then I have to drive 45 miles to another town that has a shop that can make AC hoses for the firewood truck. To hell with having my body stick to a vinyl seat when it's 90+° outside. At least the Taco has functioning AC.
