    Morning all:

    Welcome @Tex-Tac, good looking Tacoma!
A buddy of mine sold an 06 6cyl. TRD Sport ext. cab with almost 300K on it and in excellent condition, must have been a good run for them for a few years. The frame was replaced by Toyota, but other than tires, brakes, and batteries, nothing else ever needed to be replaced. The stock rims did get a bit ragged looking, and he found a set of take offs that looked like new at a reasonable price, he put them on just before he sold the truck which really helped enhance the appearance of it.

Horrific what just happened in Texas! Some people are already talking about how current severe weather happenings are being caused by human weather modifications through cloud seeding which has also been brought up before.?????
Only problem with their "theory" is that that the Guadalupe River had severely flooded twice before, one at an even higher level than this time, and well before the jet contrails that they are zeroing in on!

I don't mind waking up to pee once at night. I usually can go back to sleep. But when everything just goes BING TIME TO WAKEY WAKEY at 3AM, I become a grumpy ass. What the actual heck?

Gonna be hot today 81°F. Haircut, maybe wash the truck. Yesterday I pulled two old posts out next to, but not in my fence line. Old from the farm that was here. The second one was a beast. Creosoted.

    College guys ballgame tomorrow.

When "Wakey-WAKEY" time happens to me in the middle of the night, I get up and do some floor exercises for about a half-hour and am usually able to go back to sleep. I have no idea if there is any science to it, but it works for me.

:pccoffee:  sixtys/wannabes/light sleepers. I use breathing exercises and some other mental games to get back to sleep when I wake up in the middle of the night. I do exercises too, when the problem is muscles that won't stop jumping. That feeling of excess adrenaline drives me bananas.

I took the Caterham out for a romp for a couple of hours last Friday, then decided to go over to an afternoon car show in nearby Pottstown. They shut the entire center of town down and fill it with cars of all types, plus street vendors and musicians. It was a pretty cool vibe but a bit too youthful for this codger. The Elan did elicit a bit of attention though which surprised me, especially when it came from twenty-something kids. The upshot of the day was that I got a fair amount of sunburn! I'm old enough to know better...

My understanding that any cloud seeding was done in areas downwind of where the torrential rain was.

Flash flooding is no joke. I count my blessings I have only seen it a few times. But thankfully. still where the stream is.

We were hiking in NM and it started to pour….the water was covering our feet and rising rapidly we got out of that wash very quickly. Scary to think if you were downstream and didn’t know it was raining hard above

Appreciate it. I really feel for my sister in law. She really is trying to keep him at home and do it all herself but sooner or later a choice will have to be made. Their house requires using stairs for everything and the stairways are narrow and not suitable for a lift chair to be installed and the house is historic so that comes into play as well. At some point he'll need to be put in a home. He's also got a heart valve leaking and is not in shape for a surgical repair. It sucks watching all of this play out. At this point his is no longer a life but simply an existence waiting for an end.

Only waking up once is a good night for me. I can usually go right back to sleep. Welcome to getting older.;)

@BkerChuck Sorry to read about your brother.

Good morning. Big day yesterday, i was able to drive the Tacoma. I am getting the mobility back in my left leg.

The beef rib cook was my best effort ever. Cooked for 7 hours till the ribs were at 204° internally. The beef just melted in my mouth.
