Before you whack me for not searching, I did. I checked everything in the thread and I still do not have XM.

on to the issue. In December I put in an aftermarket head unit. I tried to like it, I really did. I got to yesterday and I could not take the "death by a thousand papercuts" small issues that I was always dealing with. I decided to start fresh with a new approach. I want android auto. thats it. So my new approach is to try the original head unit and add a standalone android auto screen above. I ordered in on Amazon and when I got home went to work removing the aftermarket unit. NOTE: no splicing or cutting was involved.. just plug/unplug to a wiring harnass. I removed the harnasses, grabbed the original unit from under my bed and hooked it up. I started up the truck and calles SXM, they switched me back to the radio id of the entune 2.0 and all was good, after about 5 minutes I got 70's on 7 and other stations back. I can't remember the order here but I either had the unit in place and screwed in before sxm switch or after... not sure.

anyway, I wake up this morning to go to work and SXM is gone. I still have the presets but they do not do anything. I go to audio and no icon for SAT or SXM, I go to sources and nothing. I can go to bluetooth audio and play the SXM app on my phone but that is cumbersome.

I have removed the head unit again, unseated everything and re-seated it. I have obviously powered down and put the truck. I went into the headunit diags but I have no idea what I was looking at so that was no help.

Any ideas? is there a separate fuse for SAT that could have popped? is there a factory reset I try on the Entune? Should I try a hard reset of the battery disconnect? Other than the grey wire with the Grey plug into the Grey socket what should I consider? The antenna is working at least to the point where I get FM... I am 40 miles for the station I was listening to so the antenna must be working.

    thanks

    Carl

Isn’t there 2 separate antenna cables going to the head unit (one for Sat and the other for FM/AM)?

Maybe the satellite cable is loose.
