just goes to show the up charge that happens with those little tiny seasonings and spices in the grocery store, goddamn. Can get a big container of it for $22 at Costco or a tiny little 6oz shaker at Vons for $10 lol. crazy.

It's a bigger problem for us in the common areas, playground and near the pool. Along the sidewalks is really bad. I think people are more likely to pick it up when their dog does it in front of a house because of all the cameras recording property these days. But on the sidewalk? Pfft can't be bothered apparently. Let someone else do it or step in it.

I sometimes daydream about catching someone in the act and them refusing to pick it up, then following them home and covering the inside of their mailbox with it. But I know I'll probably end up the bad guy in this scenario lol

I need to eventually build a fence, but there's some discrepancies in the property boundary so I gotta get a survey first. But I don't want to open that can of worms as my drain field is on the neighbors property 40+ feet :anonymous:

Ooh yeah don't want to start a septic dispute... I sorta cheated when I setup my fence, neighbors wanted a fence too and since we share a side I said I'd do the whole portion to where they wanted it to end if it could fall on the line I had drawn (probably close to the actual property line but hard to tell) and we could avoid disputing boundaries or waiting to have them precisely plotted.

And speaking of poop bags, Dex's have that stupid sticker on them that holds the new roll together...the other night I put a new roll in the holder, didn't realize that when I peeled off the sticker it also peeled a hole into the first 3 bags in the roll. Found out the hard way when I went to pick up his massive stanking pile...that sudden wet and warm feeling sensation is a big "oh no" moment.

One morning, I was standing outside looking at my newly planted azalea bushes when a guy came jogging down the street with a big redbone hound dog. The dog ran up and took a dump in the new mulch.
    It pissed me off.

+1 on nitro beers, it’s a whole different experience! It takes some searching but you can find options other than darks, if that’s your jam.

Mother Earth makes (made?) a nitro version of their cream ale, Cali Creamin’ that is on of my all time favorites!

Twice at our old house I caught someone doing that and asked them if they were going to pick it up, both times they did though once they had to go and grab a bag first (was before we had Dex or I would have offered one). Haven't had someone refuse to do it yet (unless they weren't caught) fortunately.

    Kill the grubs?

Rat bait in a skunk accessible container at night that you pick up in the morning

They make skunk live traps that are supposed to be spray proof

    Other lethal methods

We live in an area where you'll never get rid of all the grubs or the skunks for that matter lol. More will just come down from the foothills. I'm wary of using poison/repellants cause of the kids and Dex. Put ant bait traps around the outside of the house in places I thought were well hidden and River still managed to find one.
it's not a huge issue really, the skunks keep to themselves as long as Dex doesn't chase one. They only come out and night and he's usually leashed or inside at night now.

the real issue we need to deal with is the threat of venomous snakes. Neighbor just found a rattler in his driveway the other day. Need to get some snake guards put up around our back fence.

Finally got off my lazy ass to do this; I kept forgetting about it but I'll be mailing it shortly (along with the gaskets)

I'm not the happiest about it, so please once y'all get it let me know what changes I should make if I need to redo another now that I have my files made

I learned two things about thick aluminum - the splatter on initial pierce is way more violent than steel, and even large holes need a much slower feedrate

Oh Rebecca told me last night that River "ate two crayons". I was like...what do you mean, like he nibbled on two different crayons or?

No, he ATE two entire crayons. Minus the crumbs and wrapping.

is there like a pre-enrollment program for the Marines or what

Just having posted this, you've made the gubment watch list and will get recruiting ads, etc when River's in high-school :bananadead:

Should I get him a 64 pack for Christmas?
