If it was me, I'd install PLEX on a computer, put all the music in folders set up PLEX to see said folders, get a Firestick, put PLEX on it and stream away. Works great.

But I'm crazy so don't listen to me.

There really isn’t. They all enjoy streaming services. They only buy access.
The really cool adults use their antiquated iPod or Zune. Others take their old phones and load them up with stuffs to listen to. Essentially an overcomplicated iPod.

I have no idea what language you are speaking...;)

Perhaps unsurprisingly my music system is past tech. (and cheap :) )

Here is the heart of the garage system, 1977 Nikko 8085 receiver w/45 watts/channel fed by a 90's Sony CD player.

There are some big generic speakers out in the big room, some nice small Acoustic Research ones in the tool room (photo) and some neat Realistic Minimus 7 in walnut in the kitchen.

I have a few CDs --- say 3000 or so. :notsure:

PLEX is basically Netflix but for your own media - movies, TV shows, music and pictures. You house them in one place (for me, my desktop computer) and you can stream the media anywhere you have internet access.

Yea well, I don’t have the time to argue with morons saying I’m doing it wrong and you need to do this and that.

CD's? The heck are CD's?

I was playing around in the Subie the other day and happened to notice it has a CD player. Even for a 2019 that's kinda stretching it. It will never get used by me most likely.

My 2005 Pilot had a cassette player, a CD player, a 6 disc CD changer and a DVD player. I was just missing VHS, BluRay and 8-track.

After various wet and dry sandpaper from 80 grit to 5000 grit plus ball polish, and with the correct product placement,
You end up with this finished product.
    I’m tired..

you sort of answered your own question there. most people just use their phones.

there's a few 'hifi mp3 players' on the market
    https://www.amazon.com/s?k=hifi+audio+player

but they're all literally stripped down cell phones.

I recall some rather clever inventions of old, but I guess a question still needs to be asked… is this for personal listening (headphones/earbuds)? Or is this for workspace listening (boombox/stereo)?
There are differences in how each can be accomplished.

Thank you all for the suggestions.. I'll have to do some research to see if I can come up with something acceptable to me. The never ending sanding needs a distraction haha

You can get a usb streamer off Amazon pretty cheaply.

It’s amazing how much you can store on a usb drive nowadays..

Congrats on passing the test @Evostaco

    Good morning everyone :hattip:
