I had the same thought. Even the cloth seats on the non premium trd off road trims look like they came from the Xterra. I did see a brand new black trailhunter 4runner on the road yesterday. It definitely looks cool, but not 70k cool.

You are right about the cloth seats, I thought the LC 250 1958 cloth seats looked like something you'd find in the Xterra, then I saw some interior shots of the SR5 4R. I don't think anyone is going to mistake one for the other. There's the raised roof on the Xterra, and the signature rear side glass on the 4R give the same look. It's mostly the more rugged Trailhunter that mimics the Xtera profile. I see a lot of design cues in the 1G Tacoma that came from the Nissan Hardbody. Toyota and Nissan have often shared some design themes throughout the years.

Who has researched what the EPA test cycle is and adjusted their driving habits to take advantage of how the Toyota hybrid system was designed to show higher numbers?

Lots of info, thanks. I am resetting the mileage gauge every tank now. I am at 16.2 now, I have extra drag, different tires, maybe a little bit lead foot, if only briefly. Prayer is all that is left, not changing anything out.

mine gets what it gets... which in the 5000mi i've put on it is still under 16mpg

Have had the truck for about 90 days, 4k miles and exactly 20 mpg. Pretty much stock, only added some skid plates and upgraded the tires pretty recently (same size).

I get overall 18.8 MPG, and it has many skid plates, lots of sound deadening material under hood and inside the cabin, hard tonneau cover, refrigerator and ecoflow battery backup. I just added the sixth element Cold Air intake today. It will be interesting to see if anything changes over time.
