Deer hunting BS thread

I'll definitely keep that in mind! I've had great luck with the blue box Federal and even the Federal Fusion from Academy with my .243. I'll likely opt for those, so long as they don't just shoot like garbage out of my rifle.

Also intend to pass the .243 down to my daughter. Thinking maybe a custom pink/purple/black/white camo paint job for it to make it more fun lol.

Stoned deer are probably much easier to hunt! I love the strategy here!

 

Don't know about you guys, but I'm ready for First Frost.
Had enough of this Swamp Ass Weather.
Went down into the woods to swap camera cards and the Deer Flies were waiting.
They're wicked bad this year.

 

Basically an Aero build but I bought completely as parts and assembled. It does have a ballistic advantage fluted stainless barell 18”. Aero LPK, Larue MBT-2S trigger, Magpul PRS Lite stock and Magpul bipod.
Ammo I like Federal power shock 150 grain. I have a few others to try but haven’t yet. I’ve had great luck with that in this rifle and my Browning A-Bolt.

 

104 at my place right now with virtually no humidity. Ready for fall as well this is the definition of hell.

 

I think it was 92 here today but 90% humidity. Walked out this morning with the dog around 6 and it just smacked you in the face

Yea I moved from Texas to escape the heat and humidity and found myself back in it on the coast

 

July and August always like this here. Hits me worse now I work in a wine cellar where it’s cool all the time

One of my high buck spots is burnin’. A second one is cut off by the same fire. I’d scout my third but WDOT has dug out 101 (only road on the west end) in 6 places between here and there this summer…. It’s gonna be another crap shoot again this year….

Well Well Well; just as luck would have it! In an instant my deer feeders are now fish feeders! No pics as of yet, I can't get into the place. Looking through bino's it's a huge a$$ lake (mile long) where it was bone dry for years!
