Stuck for a hour before someone happened along to pull me out. Tailpipe under water so left it running. Replaced alternator on the trail then stayed on trails for 3 more days. Ended up costing alternator, starter, fan clutch, and 3 weeks removing seats, carpet and pad, and lower plastic to get clean. Put on 6,000 miles since with no issues. Can’t tell from picture but did have a winch mountable bumper on it and since have installed that winch and bought a lot of recovery gear.

You may want to consider the "rear differential breather" reroute if you take your Tacoma swimming regularly. Somewhere in TW it has been posted many times if you google "tacomaworld rear differential reroute".

If I self recovered without airing down does it even count? Just dug out the tires real quick and I was on my way again

That only happened one time and the jeep can't go wheeling anymore because it blew a hole through the side of the block

The Corolla driver was just clueless-happy ... hard to make fun of someone who cannot possibly comprehend how Corolla does not belong that far out on loose sand.

The Jeep drivers laughed too much at their own incompetence ... which is not a good sign. Beer and stronger spirits clearly were involved.

Sh&t-show all around except for the guy who cleaned it up in 5 minutes ... alone.
