A little of this and a little of that.
OK, it's been a Good Friday for me.
First, I installed a new skid plate.

Then I iinstalled D-rings in the front of my bed.

And last, I straightened and aligned my step rails. They were on the truck when I bought it and the installers attention to detail wasn't very high.

Got a "rice" craving and installed an LED scanner in the hood scoop! Go ahead.......make fun.....I don't give a shit....I LIKE IT!!! LOL
    :crapstorm:

Thanks to these forums though. It made taking apart the hoodscoop a whole lot easier. Drilling out the 3 rivets was scary and a pain in the ass.

Just put on my second coat of filler primer on my Satoshi grill. I can see some imperfections. Hopefully when I paint it black it won't be so noticable

you have to drill out 3 rivets. After you get the rivets out and thrown away, you push the back of the plastic scoop back thru the scoop hole...then the grill just pops off with a couple tabs. Then I wrapped electricians tape around 3 short screws and put em up thru the rivet holes so they blend in with the black background behind the LED scanner.

That sh-t looks cool but you were behind me I'd think it was a cop or a volunteer fireman. Is that legal in Oregon ? I don't think it would be in Jersey.

I have green neons under my truck and that's fine when i'm driving as long as they aren't blue or red. This scanner is hooked up to a toggle so i only turn it on when parked. I am thinking that any light any color thats "moving" ain't gonna be good. So it's only gonna be on when parked.

RAPR [IMG] I got white leds under the truck. I usually don't run with them but when I do haven't been stopped. Like you say maybe a different story if they were red or blue. Must be a surprise for some peeps when you turn them on. Probably don't notice them hidden in the scoop when they are off.
