Good morning all. Back to work after 4 days off means playing catch up.

Appreciate the kind words from all of you regarding my brother. It's painful watching this transpire.

    Morning all:

    :(, sad to hear!

Just read an interesting article on honeybees and the bee mite that's killing them. I was amazed when they mentioned that the largest beekeeper in the US had 55,000 hives and 2 billion bees.
I would like to know how the heck they count 2 billion bees!

No kidding. A number of years ago when I was house boating on lake Powell 10 or so people died hiking in one of the slot canyons that entered the lake on a beautiful blue sky sunny summer day. The summer thunderstorm causing the flood in the canyon was ten miles away, they never saw or heard the water coming until it was to late. Terribly sad as is the Texas situation.

Grass was cut yesterday, the easy way... hire a guy with a fast, low center of gravity sit-down mower. It has two joysticks. What fun! Works every time. He's also going to remove an old satellite dish from the roof. I'll trust him to patch the nail holes properly, since he used to be a roofer. I'll have to wait 'til the grass business slows down a bit this fall. Just as well, I have other fish to fry right now, anyway. I thought I would be caught up by now... NO WAY!

A lot of us in this thread have felt your pain. Visit your brother every chance you get.

Good morning. Bad storms last night in our area. My son was called out around 6 and did not get home till 12:30.

Smoked up some pork belly yesterday. I have a hard time with pork belly but this was my best effort to date. Sorry I do not have a final Pic. The Pic in the pan was when I sauced them up. Then I covered the pan and back on the smoker for another hour and a half. Put the Litl smokies in some baked beans.

    Morning all:
    Happy Birthday Greg! :hbd:

Fuel oil delivery today, as mentioned prior, the driver will need to do a onetime tank inspection before filling the tank. Don't know what he will be looking at, but if he fails it a call will go out immediately to my regular oil guy for a delivery.

Do it. Unless you have no money - retire now.

I was going to post all kinds of stuff about people who like to keep working.......but I will only say this, because it might sound mean spirited: You will or CAN always find work in retired life.

I seen , more than I care to admit, of friends of mine ( work ). Who passed away on the job, wanting a few hundred dollars more a month pension wise.
    And never seeing it.
