I for sure have been guilty of the same thing. I think their stuff has a time and place market for sure. Being a professional aircraft mechanic, I can tell you the Pittsburg stuff doesn’t hold up for that kind of work, I’ve used some of it around home and it does ok. Now the ICON brand I’ve used daily at work and it is truly on par with tool truck tools. I personally prefer the ICON ratchets as far as feel goes over the tool trucks. I’ve got a lot of guys at work buying the ICON line now and they all love it.

I’ve only used a couple of the Bauer line tools but have been pretty impressed with them around the house.

I tried an ICON Rachet to see how it compares to a Snap On Rachet. I found no comparison between the two, The Snap On Rachet is So Much Smoother that No One even comes Close.

I think there is still a time and place for the snap on stuff. I use their breaker bar ratchet adapters and love them!

    Nice!
I thought about it but I have an older midsize Craftsmen if I need more capacity, and honestly it doesn't get used much these days.
The Fortress is really to replace an old free 3 Gal 100 PSI Craftsman I got years back. Both are light enough and simply enough my wife could use/move them if I'm not around to help.

i used the 4th of July 15% coupon to buy a Bauer corded SDS hammer drill. regular $89.99, came with a case. it made quick work of drilling into my patio to bolt up a pergola. very pleased with the purchase, and I’m sure to use it to chisel some large rocks into certain shapes for a small landscaping rock wall

Interesting, I didn’t know that. They said in the IG comments they’ll be in stores in two weeks. Hopefully that pans out.

I’m hoping these are in the $60 range with coupon.
