There she is, boys. In all her glory. Still gets great mpgs cruising, but acceleration definitely took a hit. I love the wider track. Feels noticeably more stable.

Nice, the truck and tires look awesome!

How do those Thunderers ride on the pavement?

They are noticeably louder than the all-terrains I had, But they ride smooth and it’s still much quieter than my exhaust so certainly not annoying. Definitely still breaking them in, but I’m happy, especially for the money.

You must have a wild idea of what good mpg is unless you’re rolling down hill in neutral or on completely flat ground with a tailwind. Looks awesome but I guarantee it’s dangerously slow.

I couldn't imagine doing anything that makes the 2.7 slower, i already have to start planning now to pass someone one the way to work tomorrow. Hard to tell w/ the cut bumper but any lift, etc.?

Manual select shifting gets me up to speed pretty good. Cruising around town 35-50 mph nets me 18 mpg on the computer which is actually higher when you account for the speedometer change.

2 inch lift front, something like 3-4 inches in the rear. She was already slow so honestly it doesn’t feel that much slower. I think the snorkel and HPS straight intake helps the motor breath a bit over a stock setup, but I wasn’t passing much before the tire change either.

Nah but you’re probably right. I don’t think I couldn’t daily this truck in its current form anymore, but it’s great for our use case.

I personally think the OP's truck looks kind of silly with those huge shoes and that elephant snorkel thing. But then again, what the hell do I know!

I expected slightly worse but i would not call that good then again my short distance 5-10 mile trips are usually bad mileage. It gets way better the longer i go, i did a similar drive the other day some stop and go 40-55 mph and got mid 24's. I am heavier and re geared which did not help mileage but did driveability. Even with smaller lighter tires and bolt on mods its not the best highway cruiser, i cant imagine stock gearing again with tires that are 15-20lbs per corner heavier with a wider more aggressive tread pattern. It does look great cant deny that but even with 5.29s i wouldn't go skinny 255, 33's with the 4 banger let alone 285's.

I'm impressed to hear our beloved 2.7L pulling tires like that. Would love to see more pictures!!! Also, could you provide the details on your skid plate and other protection you're running? Just curious. Thanks man! Sweet truck!
