Hey everybody this is my first post and I’m pretty new here

But the other day I went to start my truck and it threw all the normal codes for ABS sensor failure

Went underneath my truck and I saw the sensor wires were pulled out of the part that connects to the sensor

Has anybody been able to rewire them into the Connector that attaches to the sensor
If so can you guide me on how to fix

edit: This is in the rear

Can you get a good picture of that black connector housing? Preferably unplugged and from a few different angles?

    Hey.

    BTDT.

I know the upper connector is pretty easy to disassemble. You should be able to get that one apart also.

There is no magic. Just re-crimp or solder on the wires. As noted above, they are polarized. So test or pay attention to that.

Once I reattach it will the codes clear themselves?

With time and mileage every code I’ve had has cleared itself.

Dash lights burning out doesn't count as "codes clearing".

    ;)

    I found the Audi/VW owner!

You're not wrong. I don't recall what an OBD scan showed, but the light did go off. Hahaha!

I have Techstream and even most codes clear from there as well. There are some stubborn ones, but they have not affected vehicle operation, and I believe that is what the OP is worried about.

Good luck to the OP on the repair.

I've found that TS will clear anything. But like I said, the light will go away when working correctly. I do not recall any stores DTCs afterward. I do know that a 4WD switching error will set a permanent code.

First step is to remove that white piece. Get a sharp object and lever it out towards the opening. After that it gets a bit more complicated. Take a picture and post straight down from where the white part came out of. We will instruct from there.

Looks like the strain relief is hanging open. Is there a round opening at the other end where the larger wire would fit? Do you see any rubber plugs with holes in them for the smaller wires? A clearer picture of what you already posted would be nice to be able describe the finesse next step.

OK see the two wires coming out the back. That is good.

Now on to the front. Need a clearer picture of the contacts.
