Hopefully it works out for you. My regional rep allegedly said that the noise isn't enough for them to fix it under warranty. So now, tomorrow, I'm going on my 6th trip to the dealer to meet him. Another 2 hour, minimal, round trip. I have corporate involved now, so we will see if that makes any difference. I still think that the service manager has been downplaying the situation in his report to the rep since they put the wrong fluid in it, so hopefully talking to the regional rep tomorrow will get things sorted. I'm not optimistic at this point.

If there is something truly wrong then they should fix it period. What so it could break on you a few years later .Could what ever is going on work itself out yes . It could even be the shifter itself
A bad bushing or the linkage out of sync . Did they check that ? My guess is no . Which would be a simple fix . They all gravitate to the worst scenario all the time . These dealerships are all the same lately . They give great lip service . I have a funny feeling it’s something dumb . Good luck with this . I hate the way all these people operate these days .

    1. The service manager literally told me "I think this is something we will eventually be fixing for you" - so like, what're we playing fuck around for?!

    2. They haven't checked anything aside from riding around in it with me, and changing the fluid twice. So good guess, lol!

Thanks for the encouragement, we will see how it goes!

Honestly that would be the first place I would check before I started ripping lower stuff apart . Let us know what these dummies do in the end .

I remember along time ago, being I’m 61 , I went and bought a 1974 Plymouth Duster that was a 360, 4 speed Hurst Shifter on the floor , really nice car for the time , black , buckets and it had 19,000 miles . This was in around 1981 . Anyway the the car was going for super cheap at the time because the owner had it at the Chrysler dealership and they told him the engine had a bad lifter and possibly needed head work . So I went and looked at the car but it had a very loud tick , and the owner was having a very hard time shifting though the gears . So when I test drove the car I immediately felt issues with the clutch ( which I later changed / bad throw out bearing ) also . The car was so clean otherwise, so I bought it for $ 750 dollars . Once I got it home and started looking around the ticking sound that was supposed to be a motor issue was two loose bolts on my exhaust manifolds . I tightened the bolts and good bye ticking .That was along time ago and the original owner got rid of a perfectly good car because of two loose bolts and an absolute idiot At a dealership that should have been working at McDonalds instead . In the end I put in a new clutch , and had that car for a long time . I wish I had it now . Very cool fast ride at the time . So point is sometimes theses people always go down the worst road instead of figuring things out the right way.
