My buddy said this tundras engine blew at 22k. This guy is unboxing a brand new engine. Got to watch him pull the plastic off

Lost power last night around 10:30. First time since living here in 34 years that's happened. They got it back on around 3:30. Was happy to have my budget Vevor fridge to save my expensive groceries. That thing still works like new.

Might have been ok actually, fridge just turns into a cooler when the power is out. Can’t open the doors obviously or you’ll let hot air in. 5 hours is pushing it a bit though.

Fridge was at 46 degrees by 12:30 am. Power must have gone out when it was about to cycle on.

    It's just the ECU.

    I still don't have:

    Transmission
    T case
    wiring harnesses
    clutch start switch and wiring
    crossmember
    rear driveshaft
    clutch pedal
    clutch hydraulics
    shifter bezel, boots, etc
or the skills to actually do this swap.

    But other than that...

Those are easy to get. The ECU is the hard part.
I hear @ShiftyShank wants to auto swap.

Most of those parts could be collected with a few junkyard visits and a bit of luck. Many are reasonably findable on Marketplace too.

Wiring harness and drive shafts will be your hardest, they usually get cut up by hasty diff and engine pullers.

I mean... taking apart junkyard trucks is genuinely a good way to build skills. Pay your $3 entry fee, dismantle whatever looks fun, go home. What's not to like?

    True.

I'm really good at dismantling things... it's the putting back together that gets questionable.

Appreciate it. I’ll just add it to the special section of my parts pile that is from your truck.
