The mailbox has since been replaced. The steel hinges rusted solid from salt and snowplow slush...but I can describe it.
It was in the shape of a steam locomotive 0-4-0 yard switcher. 8" sched 80 tube made up the mailbox/boiler. The front of boiler tipped forward to get mail in/out.
Smoke stack was tubing. Cab was 1/4" 6"x8" rect tubing. Drivers were 1/4" x 3" drops from laser cutter. I don't think I ever took a picture of it.
I live near a steel tubing supplier and years ago, I could walk in and they would let me scrounge thru the drop bins of the saws. I used what I picked up. I did not take it to scrapyard for $$. In exchange, I would drop off a few dozen donuts or pizzas for the crew. And I was happy to do it. Sadly the ownership changed hands and one day it was all over. No more access.
The guys I delt with were very sorry they could not let me in.
    Ahh, the good old days.
Well the post is still up, but needs a good paint job. Winter salt and dogs whizzing on it doesn't help.
Maybe I'll post a pic of the post...lol

    Here's the setup.
    Badazz mailbox post in foreground.
Knucklehead, company van and personal trailer in tow.
Yea, he uses co. van for personal use.
The last co he worked for, he would let the van idle in the driveway for hours. i.e. run up the fuel expenses. Then after averages were in the books, he would fill his personal gas cans and empty them into his car. To the co, it looked like normal gas use.
I have no idea how he got busted on that one.

    Well....
We did not have to wait long.
    I took 20 some pics.
My wife and I were laughing so hard, I'm surprised any of them turned out at all.
So...I numbered the pics in order of sequence.
Notice at #13 yeahoo get out and unhooks the trailer and walks it up, part way...
Then gets back in, backs up and hooks back up for another try out of traffic.
Finally at #16, he throws in the towel...unhooks and walks it back.

Ya just can't make this up!

That is awesome, thanks for sharing!!
Dude was all up in your driveway, it was a straight shot and he still screwed it up, multiple times... My wife got a kick out of it also...

I would almost be the mean Ahole neighbor and block the driveway so he couldn't use it, but that looks like it would be too much daily entertainment... lol

If only he had a neighbor that knew how to weld, he could add about a 6' section to the tongue that would make a world of difference...

Years ago had some fulltime entertainer friends that traveled in a 38.5' (IIRC) motorhome (next size up was a bus) and they pulled a 12' trailer with all their gear in it, well he kept bending the tongue from jackknifing it (all he has was a camera), so my business partner at the shop added a 8-10' section to the tongue and it made all the difference, he never jackknifed it again...

It looks like, in #3 he was actually straight - just had to go straight back at that point . . .
But then in #14, the rear tire is half off the driveway SMH

    Does this happen regularly?

I used to have to back a boat in for work, a few times a week and such..
The first few times, yeah I sucked but I practiced and learned to nail it pretty quick
That approach angle makes all the difference

"Does this happen regularly" he asks....
Well...about 3 hours from the trailer backing snafu.

Spit4brains just tried to back out of his drive with his personal veehicky and....wait for it...
    Bam!...he scores a recycle bin...
And if ya notice, his work vehicle barely escaped the drive by.

If I blocked the drive, I'd probably forget and back into it...

Sometimes he uses the yard...as in my yard.

    OMG

I feel like you need some cameras and a YouTube channel..

Edit: "we need you to get some cameras and a YouTube channel" lol

I'd be sitting on the front porch dying laughing

So, in all seriousness, does this guy have like a drug problem or something?
Cause it is some next level incompetence

I'm surprised that both bumpers are still attached and that thing looks pretty unscathed given his . . . inability to operate a motor vehicle

And the sad part is, I would think at least the car has a back up camera...

If you didn't get so much entertainment out of it, I would almost take multiple videos of him driving, down to the the DMV and ask them when they STOPPED making people do driving test...

I could park it there without unhooking it. Those vans do have a crappy turning radius though.

His saving grace has been the low speed of backing up.

You otta see him pulling into the driveway forward.
I always hollar, "coming in hot".
He swerves to the left to turn right into the drive. And I'm just guessing here but, I think 15 mph is about the average approach.
    I think he's trying for a 2 wheeled turn.
I can neither confirm or deny drug use.
However he has long since removed all doubt of stupidity.

This is one of those things where if I was you part of me would want to block my driveway and front yard off, the other part of me would regret it because I'd wonder how much longer this bellend would keep doing this stuff.

"just for folks like you" bwahaha, I just scared my cat laughing at that one.

In his defense, I think he meant to be spelling it in the backer upperer's language

I feel like @amyracecar has spoken much wisdom, and I second the suggestions. Perhaps start a GoFundMe for said cameras!
