    Have to take the Lexus to the shop, to get the A/C fixed and recharged today (again). Freon leak somewhere. Hope they can find it this time. Absolutely have to have it working properly. Shop we use has changed hands... not necessarily good. None of the old-timers are there. Hope things work out. Yes, it's always something.

    I have a French press i need to use. What grind do you use on your beans. If you use a grinder.

    Yes I make my own, it is just too easy. I will have to try adding cumin. I also put in two Serrano peppers, deseeded. I usually make a larger quantity just to have as a fresh snack. Pico goes well with beef, I put some on the fork with a small piece of beef.

    @woodtickgreg belated Happy Birthday.

    Good morning. Finally able to drive the Tacoma around the city. Going grocery shopping today, senior day at Harris Teeter. Time to get ready for my morning walk.

    Ain't it though... Always something.

    I've been working on my camper trying to get it ready for a planned trip with the kids... and the morning we are ready to leave the pressurized irrigation water is turned off. Not critical for plants, but we use it for watering our livestock. The lady that is going to take care of our ducks and make sure the sheep have water will need to do it with buckets we have to fill and leave for her... for a week. Thankfully, we have enough covered buckets.

    The pasture is getting short and the lambs are big enough to wean, so I go on the website to see if the local sale barn is having an auction last Monday after the fourth. Nothing mentioned except their regular schedule, first Monday of the month they have a sheep sale. I load up the ewe, pulling a hamstring in the process, and when we get to the auction no one is there. Call the number on the door and they aren't having a sale. This damn sheep is like a deer, strong and panicked, and I'm not gonna haul her back. There's a guy coming just in case people don't know the sale is cancelled and I tell him as far as I'm concerned he can shoot the sheep.

    You may remember I bought a van and modified it to make a trip to Glacier, Seattle to see the Space Needle, and then down the coast as a last hurrah. So I've told my entire family about this trip we're planning. I get the van done and my sister decides to get married (third time) right in the middle of the scheduled trip. Which means I either take the trip and miss her wedding and the opportunity to see family that will be traveling in and I haven't seen for years... or I cancel the trip and the van has no real use. Thankfully someone buys the van for more than I paid for it and we attend the wedding.

    But yeah, Always something.

    My Jeep is 1968 M38A1 Jeep that was modified heavily for Rock Crawling

    Had a built 225 Odd Fire Buick V6 with many aftermarket performance parts

    Overall gear ratio of 123:1 made for awesome low speed crawling . Had a SM465 granny gear 4spd with a 6.54 1rst gear . Aftermarket Dana 18 t/case with 3.50 low range and Warn overdrive to split the gearing

    The Dana 44 axles had 5.38 gears with lockers and the rear axle was a full floater with Warn gold locking hubs

    That pic was from East County San Diego near Julian . I literally idled up that hill and just after that pic was taken both front tires almost 4 ft off the ground

    YUM !!
    Cumin gives the Pico an authentic south of the border 'Baja' flavor. Add a little at a time to taste.

    Try Smoked Paprika in your cooking beef or chicken?

    @95SLE I have medium grind(s). I mixed Folgers, black rifle and Baileys Irish cream flavored. Dunno who made it but it gives the black concoction a little flare.

    I stupidly got married on opening day of dove season. My best man and hunting partner has never let me forget that. Every year he and other hunting partners throw that in my face. I will never live that down.
