Hopefully this isn't breaking any rules, I didn't see one anyway. We did this over on the JL Wrangler forum every time, lots of interesting stuff came up.

I am getting the Redline Hood Struts :)

I'm hoping I can snag a dashcam for Taco at a good price. Aside from pricing, I do not even know where to start.

Same. Thinking about the VIOFO A229 Plus. Don't really need anything super premium.

    Think about your needs/wishes.

Do you want a real parking mode where the camera stays active and records in time-lapse (such as 1 frame per second) unless it's g-sensor detects a shock and switches to real time recording?

Do you want dual camera - front and back recording?

Do you want GPS data embedded in the video?

Do you want it to tell you when you start the truck whether the sensor detected any shocks while parked?

Figure out that sort of stuff and you'll be better able to decide what model to chose.

Cut & broke off stuff. Prolific ziptie and tape usage.
I got one from REI a few years back. Super compact when packed still a good comfortable size assembled. Breathable mesh material.

I had one of these on my 3rd gen for a long time, loved the way it looked integrated with the interior. Getting one for my new 4th gen.

I have that in mine, it does look pretty integrated. Not the most full featured dash cam, but it does the basics well and unobtrusive. Great price on it right now too.

What do you recommend? This is a mod I've just started considering.
