So... I bought the ARB bumper.

And I bought the special harness for it.

And I hooked up my old sensors so I wouldn't have t go to the dealer to recalibrate the new ones.

It works great, except my old sensors were white and it pisses me off.

I know, 1st world problems right?

The dealer wants $600 to recalibrate them and make my bumper not look funny.

I cant help but think that for $600 I should be able to buy some kind of tool or Techstream plan and do it myself, which might come in handy later seeing as I own this truck with all this fancy argumenative crap on it.

SO... Does anyone know how one might go about doing this and what I'd need to buy?

Seems like $600 for some dumb teenager to push some buttons is a little rich and I like buying tools.

Sharpies are $3 at the gas station...

I just thought that this could be a valuable DIY for the Tacoma community to know about.

That bumper has all kinds of booby traps to make you spend more $$$

The instructions say to disconnect the battery- Even though the harness you unplug leaves no bare conductors to arc out and damage anything, which will prompt your radio to ask for the privacy code you wont remember so you have to go to the dealer to reprogram it to have tunes/carplay again...

Just a little curve ball to make you go pay for something not related to the bumper.

Like other than looks why new sensors?

I hear you. I left two sensors silver rather than color matched because it would be ~$500 for two color matched sensors PLUS the calibration appointment and cost.

To answer your question more directly, see this post for someone that did the procedure on their own.
