Apologies if this has been asked/answered, but I was unable to find same.

I will be taking delivery of a 2025 Pro sometime in September. As relates to changing oil, specifically the filter, can anyone advise if it is necessary to remove the entire skid plate which is heavy, in order to reach the drain plug and filter? My 2022 Pro's skid plate had a removeable service panel that permitted access to the filter and a circular hole that permitted egress to the drain plug.

    Thanks in advance.

Just did my first oil change yesterday, TRD Off Road. But I added the one piece heavy aluminum skid plate your getting. It has to be removed to get to filter and drain plug.

it’s made with 2 of the 6 bolt holes slotted so you leave them in. It’s kind of a pain but the slotted holes make hanging back up really easy.

I installed a Trailhunter skidplate on my OR. I assume it's the same steel plate?

I put the truck up on ramps, scoot under on a creeper, loosen the two slotted bolts, remove the others, and then lower the plate on my chest and roll back out.

Easy peasy. Same with the reverse.

However, I can tell you that it's a much cleaner job with a Fumoto valve. Without it, the black goo really shoots out.
