    I’ve got a 2022 TRD Off-Road and added a Tacoma performance chip from Monte Tuning a few months ago. Honestly, it made a noticeable difference in throttle response and mid-range torque. Not a race car by any means, but it feels less sluggish.

    Some people dislike the stock tune and want to change how they want their truck to drive. Coming from a guy who's still on the stock tune even after driving tuned Tacomas.

    I do get what you are saying though. If you want to make a car/truck much more powerful, just buy a faster car/truck to begin with. Much less potential for headaches that way.
