Does anyone know the factory rake on a stock TRD Sport?

I just ordered an Eibach Stage 2R with JBA UCAs. I ask because the Eibach kit comes with 1” rear springs.

My current stock truck sits at 36” from the ground to the bottom of the front wheel well and 36.25” from the ground to the bottom of the back wheel well. This is with the current daily load of a softopper, decked system, and tools.

If I lift to 2.5” and use the 1” springs, I believe I will have negative rake. Any help is greatly appreciated!

The fender height measurements on my TRD OR are 36.75" front and 38" rear (with OEM bedmat and Lomax cover). Your Sport should be similar. Hybrids will be slightly higher.

If your at 36" in front and 36.25" in the rear then I believe you already have negative rake. Park on flat ground and measure from the ground to the pinch weld at the bottom of the cab and you'll see that the front of your truck is higher than the rear..... this will tell you if the truck is truely level or not.

Would you say this Trailhunter is level? The front fender height in the photo measures 37.5" and the rear measures 39". This TH looks VERY level to me but the greater rear fender gap makes some folks think it has a lot of rake.

    Edited to add:
Measurements from the ground to the pinch weld is 18.0" front and 18.25" rear. ;)

In summary, the fender heights indicate an (incorrect) 1.5" of rake and the pinch weld to the ground indicate only .25" of rake.

Thanks for the response, I appreciate it.
I’ll grab that measurement tomorrow morning at the pinch weld.

I haven’t installed the Eibach yet but do want to keep some rake as I do use it as a truck - hauling/towing.

Looked up the spec’s on the decked and it’s about 200 pounds with the battle mat when it is empty. The softopper they peg at around 30 pounds. Even those two were at 250 pounds, I’d be shocked to see that much sag.

I may take everything out of the decked to see what that measures as well.

For reference, I went back and measured the Trailhunter and the pinch welds measure 18.0" front and 18.25" rear. I'll add this to my previous post for reference.

Don’t think the rear shocks are adjustable

fronts are adjustable. seems op just cares about rake. adjustable coilovers solve the rake problem.

Measured to the bottom of the pinch welds while parked in the garage this morning:

    Front - 15 7/8"
    Rear - 16"

Not quite negative rake, but any more load and we will be there. This weekend I am going to empty the Decked system to see what that does to these measurements. In the meantime I have reached out to Eibach to discuss this with them. I also found a thread on a different forum discussing a similar issue and they worked with Dobinsons to get a solve. Link below. I am curious if anyone can measure their TRD Sport with no load, on level ground, to the fenders and to the pinch welds to see how we compare.

The ultimate question is what happens when we add the Eibach at +2-2.5" on the front and the rear springs of +1". Both Eibach and Dobinsons offer a heavier duty rear spring that should offer +2-2.5" in the rear and I am thinking that is what I am going to have to go with.

*Updated the title to better accommodate what we are discussing and hopefully help people if they are searching for a similar issue"

Well, I have 275/70r18 tires. I only measured fenders. Front 36 1/4, rear 38. I do have a steel bumper and winch, so I may be 1/4” low in front. I doubt that helps but does show the 1 1/2” rake.
I think the heavier duty springs may be your answer for the rear.

Proper measuring for most folks is from wheel center vertical to fender edge. This takes any tire dia differences out of the comparisons.

Measuring to the frame or pinch weld is fine on a single vehicle, but compareitivly changes vehicle to vehicle again, based on tires.

Fun fact. If you have a vehicle with all 4 corners easily adjustable (like threaded shock bodies on adjustable coilovers) and have the vehicle corner weighted for max handling, its probable all 4 will have different measurements. The stance crowd is disturbed by this. Especially when they get spanked at the track.

I suspect the bumper and wench is pulling your front down 1/2". With 32.6" tires my stock TRD OR sits 36.75" front and 38" rear.

Working on a lien delete for my title…..
The stage 2 definitely has the threaded collar, which is a must have for me, specifically for Rake tweaking.

excellent and informative thread too. Gonna try a pinch rail measurement to today!
