Happened again today, noticed on my way in to work, and then on the way home, I hit it into 4hi just to see, and it went away. Last time, I had used 4hi on the lawn to get close to the front door to load furniture, so I thought maybe for some reason, 4wd would do it. And it did!

Then it came back, and then went away, and then back. And I couldn't figure out what set it on or off.

Took apart the tail light, disconnected everything, and turned the power on, and it was still happening on the mirror.

But closing the door it would sometimes jam on or off, so something must be loose or something.

Right now what I've done is opened the fuse box, and found I used the other type of fuse - from when I was using an add-a-fuse to this.

I'm upside down but that should be INJ

    upload_2025-7-10_14-11-15.jpg

So I put the low profile mini 10A in there and, after a quick buzz around the block and some power cycles of the lights, it appears that was a part of it.

When I had tapped off of that circuit for my switch panel, it got all screwy and did something similar, but consistently, until I removed it, and it went away. I'm guessing that same screweyness came back with the "wrong" fuse in there.

Right now that's all I have to go on. Same idea, will be keeping my eye on it and if it happens again, going to be quite confused.

    Edit:

No picture of the tail light this time because it was already disassembled.

    upload_2025-7-10_14-24-8.jpg

But that mirror light was steady on, that's how I was watching things.

Some electrical mods I have that COULD affect things (but I don't think are?)

    • MESO Stage 1 tail lights (moves the turn signal down to the reverse in a switchback bulb)
    • Switch panel tapped onto an add a fuse in the cab fuse panel. I THINK sunroof.
    • Dash cam tapped off an add a fuse in the cab, I THINK power 1 (I think there was an open slot on all, then sunroof is open if you don't have one).
    • Fridge stuff direct wired to the battery w/ solar there too

Weird stuff, weird indeed. I kind of want it to happen again because a wonky fuse in INJ makes no sense to being the culprit, and I'd like to know what the real culprit is....

I have the same setup as you (Meso stage 1 tails and Meso V5 switchback mirror lights) haven’t had an issue like yours.
I do also have a crap ton of stuff tapped off the cabin fuse block and to the main battery as well.
I can only assume either the tail bulb or the mirror light has a short of some sort, maybe with the INJ circuit, but can’t be sure.

    These are stock mirror lights.

I am befuddled, and it's a double edge sword if I want it to come back or not. On one hand, if it's working, whatever. On the other hand, these shouldn't be connected, but the switch panel jacked it up.

I have a remote starter too. :spy:

really, a lot of shenanigans going on, and I hope that does it. The Why - I'd like to know, but also, won't fret much. If it comes back, I've got a lot of stuff to look at

I would have to look at the diagram and then I may be able to point you in a direction

I think this is it VVV

Really, INJ and lights should have no connection. If that's what it was, and that 10A fuse switcheroo fixes it, I am definitely not going to tempt fate and just leave it. I'll let the magic pixies work the magic and not interrupt them again.

I was confusing your issue with the 10A blowing in the other thread.
What exactly are you experiencing? 10A INJ under the hood blowing? Is the issue now resolved?
