Hello friends, I'd like a little help from you who are already users of these excellent trucks.
A few months ago, I managed to buy a 1998 Toyota Tacoma 2wd Prerunner. I've already bought many new parts, but I haven't started working on it yet. These include a timing kit, fuel filters, engine mounts, U-joints and driveshafts, spark plug wires, valve cover gaskets, and many other things to do the job properly. However, I have a question.
I haven't bought anything for the suspension yet, and I'd like some advice.
I'll only use the truck in the city. I'm in Miami and won't be doing off-roading. I'd like to install some 285/75/16 Ko2s (33”) that I already bought on the Facebook Marketplace at a very good price. What suspension should I use? Bilstein? Rough Country, stock with a lift kit? I want it to look aggressive without too much trouble. Thanks and best regards.

Bilstein 5100 front and rear. Hammer love the pinch and you might be good depending on offset. Another issue you might run into is lock to lock might rub the frame

Thank you very much. Your opinion is very helpful. Could I use the OEM coils with the Bilstein 5100? Should I use wheel spacers? Should I put a lift block in the rear? I've read a lot about this, but there aren't many reviews from Tacoma owners who have done it. Thank you.

Yes, you can use factory coils in the 5100 or some will opt for 881/882 coils. As for wheel spacers, that depends on the wheel offset. If it rubs lock to lock, you can try 1” spacers but that sometimes pushes the when outwards and cause other issues/rub. As for the rear, you can run blocks but I highly recommend getting new leafs as the original is tired. Block can also interfere with the ebrake cable, depending on placement for your year Tacoma. I rather get shackle vs blocks.

Watch this video. It explains why you might or might not want wheel spacers, and covers some other things that affect big tire fitment. The channel's other videos are also worth looking at if you want to know more about common Toyota IFS problems and mods.
