What Diff and Carrier drops did you pick? I've been looking around since the first owner of my truck blessed me with a 3/2 leveling kit using spacers.

I want to get everything in alignment and probably go down to a 2/1 with Bilstein 5100s

Question. Did you get magsafe mount or magnetic mount. Did you have to use the metal ring?

My s24 ultra is not magsafe, and no idea if my case is magsafe. I have no idea what magsafe is.

I would like to consider buying one of these but I don't want to stick a metal ring on my case. Do you think either mount would work with my phone without use of metal ring? How to tell if my case is magsafe?

Tia, if you happen to know any of these answers.

Okay I understand magsafe phones; built in aligned magnets in the phone body.

*Just ordered my magsafe case, arrives today.*

@RicerRabbit so I'm now eligible for the Course magsafe mount. 10-4.

    Itz JDM tyte, yo!
I got the Magsafe mount. Magsafe is basically Apple's fancy name for magnets that allows you to charge wirelessly and attach accessories and you'll need a magsafe case for it (which the manufacturer will mention in the description. Magsafe is pretty much an Apple thing as it's made by Apple.

My kit doesn't come with a metal ring.

These are the two kits I think I used (I didn't log in to Amazon to check). After some reading on my part, both of these drop kits seem to be a "if it fits, it fits" deal, so I wasn't worried about the Amazon part. Worst case, I'd upgrade the fasteners. I was on the fence about the diff drop from what I was reading, but a little measuring with a tape and a floor jack said that the CV boots were going to be dangerously close to rubbing themselves once lifted. I'm not too worried about the ground clearance part, so it seemed like cheap insurance to me.

Thank you. I only have about 50 miles on the shocks so far, but the 5100's have made the ride surprisingly smoother. I expected some, but not this much. I'm very impressed.

Side note: I installed everything myself mainly because A) I'm a natural-born cheap-a** and B) because although I'm in my 50's, my mind sometimes says I'm somewhere in my mid-late 20's. After crawling around on the shop floor most of the day up-&-down 287 times, I've drawn the conclusion that my mind doesn't know what the hell it's talking about lol.

Picked up a magsafe phone case, and now, hoping to purchase the last phone mount ever needed for this 3rd gen.

I have and use a dog hammock, but since I also from time to time (once a week not long ago) take my grandkids or whoever somewhere, I got tired of and found it a pain (very bad back) to remove the hammock in order to use one or both the rear seats, well I finally figured out I could just attach all the headrest ties to the front headrest to protect the back of the front seats to keep the little heathens feet off the back of the seats as well as makes it a little harder for the dogs to just out their paws in the console, and I lay the seats down and put a thick moving blanket on them and it gives more room for my Pitties, plus if I need something behind/under the seat I don't have to mess with the hammock, and if I still take the dogs and a human in the back, or 1 dog and 2 humans back their... Best of both worlds imho..

I also have dome cheap door guards for protection...

I don't, I hate it when people don't know how to turn the phone sideways for a video...
    Nice truck though... lol

Just make sure you watch the video I posted to make sure yours are legit before installing...

I would think the phone would overheat on the dash like the FL heat...

Hell hole like Walmart and Home Depot....just terrible places to shop with predominanty garbage inventory. (At least ours...) I won't shop Cosco either. I should not have to be treated like a criminal after I just stood in line for 15 minutes and spent $500 in your store. :luvya:

I looked up the counterfeit vs real before I installed them a while back. Really when I looked at Amazon I was wondering how I paid. $111 and some change for $6

I ditched the 67D phone clamp for a Bullet Point magsafe. The 67D mount had a rattle plus the convince of the mag is awesome. One minor potential downside is the BP has a 20mm ball and not the 1" which seems to be more common, but I was already in the 20mm camp. I'm not hard-core wheeling, but I do enjoy ripping along a gravel road (digressive shocks) and it the mount has held fast.

    bp1.jpg

Plus, now you can spend more money on mag accessories like these.
