I have a quad lock mag charger on my dash and the phone gets very hot on long drives (over 4 hours in the sun) when it's 85-90f days up here in Minnesota but has never overheated.
I would imagine in southern heat of 95f+ you might run into overheating if on long road trips.

DBA 4000XS Brake Rotors. TRD PRO fogs. Dakine Tail Gate Pad. Body Armor Sliders. Icon Stage 4 Lift. Eibach 1" Lift Blocks. Overland Taylor Tune. Rough Country Spare Tire Bed Mount. 67 Designs stuff on the dash. Uniden Radar Detector Hardwired. Spod Lighting Controls. RC Black Series Bumper Lamps RC Black Series Grill Lamp. Body Armor Stealth Front Bumper. Extended Brake Lines. Greddy Shift Knob. More to come of course.

First thing when I brought my Tacoma home my nephew was making fun of me and asked about a "Wittle Wadder". I was like WTF are you talking about? ( He drives a long travel XJ beater...) Then I was walking my dog and started noticing all the tiny little ladders on all the hipster "overland" builds in my neighborhood. Then I laughed...cuz wittle wadders are a thing in suburbia...

Not a perfect match for the the flatlink, but close enough for the mall. PXL_20250711_205324615.jpg

I did the same. I don't mind the chrome on the inside, but hated it on the outside. Pro headlights, taillights and wheels. I tinted the mirror repeaters and front logo. Truck already came with all black overlays.

Some of you need to read our policy on political reference or discussion on this site.

We are tired of coming in here cleaning posts up. If this continues people are going to disappear and put on the naughty list.

    You have been warned.

I ordered that one, installed it, and ended up sending it back. It didn't reach out far enough so when the phone was on the mount it ended up hitting the radio. At least for the angle and position I wanted it at. I do have one in my Mustang tho.

Went over the oem. At first, it was hard to close without slamming it. After a couple days it stretched out and now closes just as before, nice and easy. And the wrinkles went away too.

I have just laid my phone on the dash while getting in the car and the screen started acting up from the heat... lol
With the Taco, I just put my phone in the cubbyhole under the HVAC controls, I don't need it for anything while using Andriod Auto...
But the old Vibe/Matrix, I used a phone holder that went in the CD slot, worked great...

I just don't see any/many modded Tacos in my area and never ever seen a local overland build of any kind...

minor, TRD skid plate, front recovery points, Regken mud flaps, rear diff breather, AC drain pipe extended. Upgraded sound with active sub woofer, tonneau cover, CB radio.
And it's not only pure hwy and gravel hwy drive (by the way I never had engaged 4x4 on Dempster (wasn't necessary, at my point)).
40 mile abandoned settlement was closed for public, but... There is few trenches across the road, to barricade... What to say (I knew that, done before)- again proofing, stock TRD OR 6MT very capable. In skilled hands.
Reminds me proverb from the past :
"If your hands skilled enough, you can play banjo even on your dick!"
    :rofl::rofl::rofl::thumbsup:

I just started watching her recently. She is a computer scientist, as am I, and I find her fine to watch. But I watch at 2x speed. Her voice works well sped way up.

All very technical. She’s sponsored and what not. I don’t solely watch her videos, but she’s always worth a watch.
