Jeeps around here generally have several dozen ducks stacked up in the windshield. Surprised they don't get a ticket for obstructed view. I just don't understand that Jeep thing.
Btw, a 1964 Jeep CJ6 was my very first vehicle, way back in the mid 1900's. 4 cylinder with a top speed of 52mph. Did not help with the dating scene at all.

Today's ride to see how I done.
Rev'it pants are a win. Was only in the mid 80's today, so they were comfortable to wear with the liners removed. These will be great for the early and late biking season.
New rear sprocket, love it. Put the powerband right where I like it.
Tires, still figuring out where air pressure should be. They have a much stiffer sidewall, highway pressure in the gravel was like riding on marbles, felt worse than the 80/20's did. Dropped them both 10psi, was much better but felt like I could go lower, just concerned about the front losing it's bead. However at 20 psi, it held together just fine. That being said, it's so narrow and tight on the wheel, it may not be an issue and if it does, it doesn't take much pressure to re-seat it.
Got back on the pavement at normal psi, and still had the riding on marbles feeling. I'll try dropping them a few and see if that helps.
That ominous cloud chased me all the way back home. Wind picked up something fierce. My only concern was that I wore the breezy jacket instead of the waterproof jacket. Next time if I decide to do that, I'll bring the liner from the other jacket to wear underneath.
And the tires were balanced just fine, lost the pogo stick effect.

I learned to drive in a 59 Willys CJ5. We couldn't hit 40 with ours, as it only ran on 3 cylinders most of the time. But, fresh off the rebuild I was able to push to 55 easily (on flat ground), probably coulda hit 60. Grandfather pissed us all off by selling it immediately after the engine was rebuilt. Made me feel less bad about running the piss outta it the first time we started the engine after reinstalling it, hahahaha.

These tires are kicking my butt! Started with the 14” front and the rubber rim strip kept moving and covering the hole for the valve stem. Giving up for tonight and going to use gorilla tape for the rims tomorrow.

Yeah I’ve had enough close calls I just believe it’s being defensive and proactive to keep me out out trouble. Going probably happen at some point. Put my boot in a couple before too.

Msf teaches these kind of things. Highly recommended for people who are thinking of learning to ride I meet. After that I don’t talk about it, I see a lot of inexperienced riders and way to many distracted drivers on phones n shit lol

    Guys we have an issue...

The tracers title is still fucked...
The title was never signed by copart... So the title was never registered by them. Then dells never got a title in their name... They then had me sign in the wrong box...

Yes I should have read the title but this was at a big time dealer out here so I expected to be able to trust them... So now I have a bike that has a notice that it's in the wrong hands (according to the DMV so I can not ride it unless I wanna be pulled over)

So what the hell do I do? Demand them take the bike back and give me all the money I've lost or reimburse me and make the title get fixed as fast as they can??

Any ideas here are welcomed because ATM I'm kinda screwed by a dealer I trusted...

What you do depends on if you want to keep the bike and go through the headache of the title issues, or if you just want you money back.

If you want to keep it, start calling the dealership. A lot. Be polite, but firm. At a minimum they need to get the title stuff sorted on their dime and they need to do it ASAP. You could push for accessories or gear as compensation for the headache, but that's up to you and there's no guarantee they'll give you anything. If they can solve it in a week, no big deal. If it takes months I'd be pissed that you have a payment for something you can't drive.

If you want to get you money back, tell them you want it ALL back. Every penny. Make that clear. Dealerships are scumbags, so I would expect them to try to do some prorated bullshit for the miles you put on it. Tell them that won't fly because it's not your fuck up so you are not paying for the mistake. That's on them. If they pushback or get shitty, reach out to your DMV and possibly the AG to see what courses of action you have. They legally fucked up selling it without a title in order. That should void anything you signed and they'd owe you all that you agreed to pay. If they make you take it to court then they'll owe that plus your legal fees and you can pursue damages as well.

Either way, it'll be a PITA but you'll come out okay.

    AG = Attorney General

Great resource for leverage against shitty business practices. The AG's office investigates all kinds of stuff, and if the dealership did anything shady they definitely don't want to get investigated for it. Nobody fucks like the government.
