Looking at buying an 09 Taco. I really don't like the headlight design on this year. Can you swap out the headlight assemble for the facelifted assembly? Or does anyone have any cool headlight mods to make the truck look a little more mean?

What's more important to you; looking cool or being able to see where you're going at night? Lots of cool looking lights out there that'll plug right in - with terrible output. In fact, I'd go as far as to say all of the cool ones have crap output. But that's just my opinion based on years of experience with automotive lighting.

    Can you? Yes.
    Expensive? Yes.
Direct bolt on? Nope, no way.

You could buy a set of aftermarket.
But don't get disappointed when you have to buy a new set every 5 years. (or less)

My best advise is, Learn to like what you have.
Unless you have lots of money, time, and free time.

You haven’t even bought the Taco yet and your first priority is changing the head lights??? Purchase the truck, drive it for awhile and then determine changes and priorities.
I have a 2009 (bought new) and though “cool”is in the eye of the beholder, I like my lights perfectly fine. They are quite bright at night and I drive down a lot of country roads and dirt roads often at night.
Lastly I find more people than not are dissatisfied when they change out their OME lights for aftermarket. But if ya gotta be cool ya just gotta be cool.
