    I picked up this 2nd gen tacoma 8" axle for $125. What's the chance a 2nd gen 8" 3rd member will bolt onto a 3rd gen 8" housing?

    Whole lotta stuff
That's the 8" E-locker 29 spline? Might be the same if your original 3rd gen diff was the e-locker. Don't know if they changed the e-locking diff between generations. The open diff that came on other 2nd gen Tacomas is 8.4", which is a little stronger/more common.

    No e locker. So I guess it's an 8.4?

3rd gen e-lockers are 8.75 I believe, everything else was the 8.4. It might fit if you're a non-OR/pro, but probably not?

I’ve thought about making something… I ripped my carrier mount off also. If there’s enough interest I’ll put something together

Did some cutting, tube work and welding today. Made a tire rack. Pretty happy with how it turned out. Just gotta buy better straps. Ones I want are $150 each

Saw your IG posts. I wonder if I could do an install of a fuel cell in the same manner. More fuel and weight in the back would be nice.

yeah I did my cell in about the same spot, but I didn’t cut a top access yet, I probably will eventually so I can actually access or remove the tank if I need to.

Might be the ones you're already looking at based on the price, but I love the Mac's straps. I have two vertical spares and they have never move or shaken at all.

I want a fuel cell so bad, but it’s just one more thing to deal with. I should probably just enjoy the working truck
