I have an input to the aux in port below the radio.

The audio sounds fine, suddenly the audio drops out!

It does not come back until I shut the truck off for a few mins.

Anyone seen this before and what could be causing it?

    Thanks

I don’t have that problem, but you may want to check if you have the latest Entune software.

In February I bought a new map data card. At that time, I found newer Entune firmware for my 2016. Hopefully, updating your Entune fixes your problem.

Have you tried unhooking the Negative battery cable for a couple of minutes?

One more thing to try is a different Aux cord. It would be interesting to know if the audio drops out using two different cords.

In addition to a different USB cable, you could try cleaning the USB port with Deoxit or other contact cleaner. It could just be dirty after nine years. If it's not the USB port you're referring to then the same thing could apply to the 3.5mm jack as well.
