Softener itself was $500ish for a 32,000 grain which is fine for just two people. With the additional plumbing it was $875ish all in. You may need a larger one depending on how many people are in your house.

Uses way less salt than my old unit which was 24 years old. It regened every 6 days no matter what whereas this one I have set for every 1,000 gallons which is about 10-12 days for us. I set it to regen at 1am.

I ordered directly from their website so I could get the 3/4" head size. If you order it elsewhere it comes with 1" head size. It was easier to plumb being 3/4".

I went out earlier and pulled a bunch of weeds and trimmed some bushes. Out there maybe an hour, came back in and not a dry thread on me. Had to sit in the chair at the computer with nothing on to cool down :anonymous:

Also this is the reason I got out there 8 this morning to cut the grass. Half way through sweat was dripping in my eyes. That humidity creeps up on you. Now it feels awesome out. Humidity has dropped. Nice breeze same as last night. To me the temps now are perfect summer night

Grass is so burnt it really isn't growing around here. Tried to clean the front window in the car and the cleaner was just evaporating

Been the longest consecutive hot days I remember in a while. I used to not mind the heat, but this year something is just different o_O

I've always hated heat. Not a fan of summer. I'll take fall time of the year over anything.
