Rear slider failed, any suggestions on proper replacement techniques

Hello all, anyone had the small back sliding window fail? My neighbors 2021 SR5 Tacoma V6 regulator failed. We removed the plastic panels from behind the rear seats, then pulled the regulator, the cables on black spool were all twisted. The replacement part is under $75 so that's good. Anyone have installation tips?

The window is fine and we can push it open and close. The problem is we would like to see if anyone has replaced the regulator. When we removed the old regulator there is a gear that may or may not needing adjustment before putting power to it. I'll continue my search on Google.

Thanks again my friend. That's the first one that came to light when I googled it. The OP mentioned he just replaced the plastic wheel and cables which comes in the kit, problem solved. I just would like to know if there is more to it. My neighbor feels it failed do to the extreme heat in AZ , the cable became all jammed up!
