I have the TRD pro 2nd gen suspension on my 2012 Off-road. How would the stock suspension from a 3rd gen TRD Off-road compare? I will soon be replacing and wondered if it would be a good option. My leafs are General springs standard and they are still good. I don’t do a lot off-road anymore besides occasionally having to get to a remote camp spot. Any advice would be appreciated.

They ride firm because they come with firmer springs for slightly more weight.

It's not a bad choice, but will feel "worse" than the old Pro setup.

What would be a good replacement for the pro suspension that keeps about the same height and feel? I’ve been out of the Tacoma game for way too long.

Not sure i agree with you. i have a 3rd gen and installed 2nd gen "Pro" suspension on it. Suspension is definitely firmer, as well as more controlled. The original TRD OR suspension was soft and cushy with more brake dive, roll, etc.

Ya your 3rd gen weighs more than the 2nd gen, so its firmer because of the weight settings on this truck, not yours. This is a bad "firm".

The 6112s? are in a different league but when comparing 6112s on a stock 3rd gen vs the offroad suspension I agree with you.

I think they are about 200# more, right? Or one full size adult. The way people weigh down their trucks... do you think that will make a significant difference?
