Got out and finished a trail on my list.

My suspension is too soft and I’m thinking about getting a proper trail bike now.

My buddies red klr fell off his trailer on the way home, tons of damage, was a crappy way to finish the day

I looked into it and it is illegal like your state to sell a vehicle with a poorly filled/incomplete title.

I talked to highway patrol to get a handle on what it all entails and going through the process to get a new title it will take a month or longer it seems if the og owner even responded to sign the new title...

So ya wait and see but might push for them to just buy it back and go find a different one.

Sounds like they owe you a full refund plus any interest you've paid. I'd also push for full funds for whatever you traded the bolt for. I would take my business elsewhere.

I get your frustration and I'm sure I'd be about the same. From what you've posted though it seems like you really like the bike so them buying it back puts you back on the hunt for a bike. You know what you've got with the Tracer and have a warranty on it. Push for them to expedite the whole process and give you a loaner bike until it the title is squared away. By doing this they not only are paying you to buy it back to sell again but this puts them out another bike that they can't sell until you're made whole in the deal.

if i go that route yes and i will push for all of that.

yes the bike is an awesome bike and i do love it! i will see what they say and what they can do to fix the issue. if i have to look for another one well i can. at least i know i love the thing since ive had it for two months lol.

for sure going to try and see if i can get a loaner bike if they are going to go the fix the title route. unsure if they would do something like that but who knows? ive been a good customer to them for years so maybe they will honor that and do good by me.

Took a short ride today. Went through Marshall, NC holy cow whole buildings are gone. Then rode up the French Broad river which is much wider now. All this from Helene almost a year ago. This area will never be the same again.
All in all it was a good ride testing out my Cardo and Klim jacket. 60% chance of rain again tomorrow and next week, so driving the truck again.
    Y'all have a good week.

so i called my lawyer its not free sadly... the free part is the consultation and then a discount on services.

i did talk to her today and went over everything with her. atm she has told me to go into the dealer today and talk to them calmly and see if they will either fix the title and comp you for it since its going to take awhile!(60-90 days!) or if they are going to buy the bike back in full. if they are not willing to do either thing or are trying to slip under the rug in a sense. to walk out and give her a call and she will start looking into the case and well then we start the process. she did state that sometimes when she notifies the party of a lawsuit they normally want to work it out before it goes to court so the dealer doesnt get bad rap. so wait and see what happens after 3pmish? depends on how fast i can get there.

Oh, if they wanted to play nice after the fact I'd 100% go to court and crucify them for it, just on principle. As I see it, they effed up and should be bending over backwards to fix it and be nice to you. Anything shy of that deserves a 100% scorched earth response.

yaaa i wish it was free and i could have sworn it use to be but its not now?

ya i agree with that but like chuck has stated things do happen. if they dont bend over backwards and tell me in a sense to kick rocks then yaaaa imma go to my lawyer. hopefully i dont have to thou!

Well, in the end you could definitely have the legal fees rolled into what they pay. Its their screw up, so in the end it shouldn't cost you a dime.

I wouldn't be surprised if your specific thing wasn't covered. I paid for the added legal plan these last two years to get a will and trust written up for the wife and I. That was covered, and so was transferring the title for my house. But when I tried to have our 2nd property, down at the dunes in Oregon transferred, they won't cover rental/vacation properties, only your primary residence. The gal I talked to said our legal plan (some MetLife legal plan) has a list of specific things covered for free.

Make sure you stress to the dealer that you are going to be without the use of the vehicle for 60-90 days but must continue to carry insurance on it during that period. Let them know you've already spoken to a an attorney and would prefer this be handled amicably. Suggest the use of a loaner bike and that whatever resolution can be reached is "highly likely" to be brought up on your multiple social media sites that you frequent. Do it in a calm, non-threatening manner and that you really don't wish to endure all of the headaches this is bringing.

Assuming they do the right thing and make it right then make sure to hype them up following the resolution. Shit happens, and things go sideways. It's how people handle it and take ownership that matter. Best of luck and keep us posted!
