I know, I felt that they kinda liked the fire damaged stands about 7 years after a lite fire. Google earth shows a much less canopied mountain these days…

Yep good old state of Washington managing at its finest. Have you ever gone over the backside towards Chelan it looks like god just laid hundreds of thousands of trees over on their side with one swipe.

Pyramid peak during regular season the following year. I crested with my rifle between some crazy snow cornices!!
Shot a little one one the way down that day.

from the northwest face of Pyramid about half way up looking back toward Glacier Peak the following day with a camera. I had to make a second trip for the rest of my deer. Definitely a different experience!

I'd say I'm jealous I'm not surrounded by so many good deer that I need something different to scratch that hunting itch, but then I guess I'd be lying to say I didn't absolutely love the thrill of the "what if", and the super rare potential to see a 3 year old buck where I hunt. NOT seeing good deer might be more addicting than being surrounded by them. I think the best way to scratch that itch, is to share the experience with somebody new, so their excitement and passion re-triggers your excitement for those same deer/land again. I can be free really whenever, just let me know what ya think :notsure::anonymous:

Edit: GIF not attaching - tried using web/mobile, different GIFs, none worked

    So just imagine the GIF:
A basketball shot, missing, captioned "Me shooting my shot"

I can’t imagine spending that much dough on a crossbow that shoots 5-10% better than one that’s a grand

I mean good for you (I mean collective “you” not you specifically Dennis), if you can afford that.. I’ll just be over here playing with my cheap shit

I wouldn’t pay that much either. I have a Ravin R9 that I bought used from a friend for $800 and I have a Ten Point that I bought new for $1100.

I don’t even have a crossbow. Never found a need. Generally, to use one in western states, you have to use it during rifle season. If you get a rifle tag, you may as well just use a rifle?

There’s an exemption for archery season for shoulder injury’s in some states. I suppose that would be only reason out here to use such. IMG_4326.jpg
