Here is a pic of what we are talking about.

the red arrow is pointing to the rock that moved, the blue arrow is the direction it moved about 8 to 12 inches, and the orange arrow is the way around that we have to go now when we go up it.

Unfortunately not because we didn't actually get to the air up spot until almost 3:00 PM. we had a couple of trucks have some challenging spots that needed to be winched and pulled out. So we just said let's air up and go get something to eat

Once he graduates and can throw money at his truck, it's going to be...

    What's the word....

    Dangerous?

No Siree. We got to the end of the trail around 3, and had Manny who I am told would not do well on VW hill - he's on 32s and has (now) an aluminum IFS skid, but otherwise stock. I think we didn't take my truck on VW when we tried to go last year before the RMS Lusitania sunk in the bog.

Okay I'ma tag a couple people on this one, I think it's a nothing burger.

Went to get into my truck today, stepped on the sliders, heard a clang. This was under the driver seat area there abouts.

@jpereira2 do you remember seeing anything like this under there? It's SUPER rusty, I put it on my sliders which are the most rusty thing on my truck, and this thing is BEAT. I'm guessing if this WAS from my truck, it would be in a lot better shape....

    upload_2025-7-14_13-30-34.jpg

@TacoTuesday603 I know you did the rear on my truck, but does this look like anything you've run into on Matt's truck either on the front end or skid ish area?

I'm thinking it was a highway souvenir and dropped at a funny time more than a piece of my truck....

@crashngiggles I think you have SOS sliders, right? I do too, I know you're a LWB and second gen, wondering if you had anything like this in your slider setup though. I don't THINK I was supposed to put a plate toward the front with any bolts up there to hold it down.

Edit: No weld marks, only the slot cut out on it.

I have the original SOS sliders and don’t have any plates like that on my set up.
