I just got done changing my fluids last week. I forget how much I hate those hand pumps until I have to use them again.:annoyed:. I went with redline mt85 for my trans this time. I had been kicking around about trying the mt85 instead of the mt90 for awhile. Very smooth and well defined shifts. Winters coming on and I heard it shifts a little smoother cold. We'll see.

Looking forward to hearing your longer term results

For the love of Pete, I change both the front and rear in mine today. It's a 23 Pro, but I thought I'd upgrade the front to Lexus bolts before they were seized up. Holy moly, the front drain was so tight it took me forever to get it out. I only have 4100 miles on it and it's superclean underneath, but the factory torqued that mother on there. Glad I did it!

111,000 miles on my ‘22 third gen manual and never done the tranny fluid or diffs. Still runs and operates like the day I got it. What’s y’all’s thoughts?

It will run like the day you got it until the day it doesn't anymore and then you might wish you had changed fluid a little more regularly :D

Bragging about lack of maintenance isn't a flex.

Good thing is, manual transmission, t case, and diffs take like 5 min each to swap fluids.

At 111,000 you're probably still good, but changing fluids is a LOT cheaper than changing out diff components

Just curious... How long does it take to change the front and rear differential oils, and the manual transmission oil? Thanks!

I would think it would be advantageous to change your fluids. Never know at what point the additives and lubricity of each oil starts to break down and things start to get unhappy. Probably still fine but it’s not that expensive or difficult to change, so why push it? I doubt any damage has been done, but I bet you’ll get better life out of your stuff than you would have if you change it now vs never.

A few hours MAX. Most time for me getting under the truck, letting old juice drain well. Pumping or squeeze bagging in, minutes.

Would you suggest going with the bag route or the bottles and pump?

I have a 2020 trd o.r. 6spd mt with 9800 miles. Should I change transmission fluid and diff fluid? Always thought that would be a 30k mile service at the earliest.

    ^This...

    Better at 111k than later...

once you have your 'ducks in a row', fluids in hand, and tools, the actual fluid change is pretty quick. Less than 1 hour for all 3 at a very leisurely pace.

It is easy to do all three at once. (MT, TC, Diffs)

As several have said in here, it's fairly quick. This is one of those maintence jobs that won't actually kill your back or shoulders (unless they're already killed).

Pretty simple too. The definition of "drain.... And fill"

And unlike some Japanese manufacturers, Toyota put the fill plugs at the proper height so you get the right amount of fluid inside, instead of having to park sideways on a hill *ahem* Nissan

Just curious, what Nissan stuff has the fill holes at the wrong spots? Seemed like my Frontier transmission and t-case were right.
