Also, completely unnecessary. I come here to avoid that shit. It gets shoved down our throats enough, we don't need it here.

Kind of like a snake in the dash of your truck...

I had 5 wooded acres in Florida that was infested with them, and saw them regularly. They're so small, you're often on top of them before you see them. I've stepped on half a dozen, simply by accident with no retaliatory reaction whatsoever.

It holds true, in North America, not so beyond the border.

Coral snakes also do not have elliptical pupils.

Two bull snakes that were copulating in the path of the tractor and I, photo courtesy of me lovely bride. Funny, not, how men fear snakes. No arms or legs and make men squeal. They'll say they don't like them, but it is fear. BTW, the political comment was funny and likely holds truth.

We drove the snake truck across state lines yesterday, is that considered transporting a controlled species?

Also, I now have a new tactic to add to my repertoire to get people I don't like out of my truck. "Keep your eyes out down by your feet for the snake". I'll get a radar gun to track their foot speed on the retreat.

In other news, the same dog that spotted the snake on the dash spent a lot time sniffing under the passenger seat - and she knows the scent. Is she doing that just for spite?

I'd probably just check the cabin air filter and take a pic with a phone to search up, then drive. He'll leave.

or play some deadmau5 to attract him. That other stuff people suggested like Ratt only work on boomersnakes.

Camping in Eastern Washington there was a snake on one of the trails and another that liked to sun itself on the rocks by our campsite. I hadn't considered the possibility of it moving into the truck. I don't like that possibility. They were just bull snakes, but our tiny dog probably looks like a snake snack.

Number of days since snake spotted in Tacoma = 0

Heckuva thing, here's the glamor shot, spending its time under the passenger seat. Now what? [IMG]

That's a one gallon peanut butter lid we put some water in, might be thirsty. My wife wasn't interested in relocating him, and now we don't know where it is again. He's a well traveled snake, what with the trip to another state this weekend. Apparently he prefers it around here more, maybe the mice taste better.

You'll have to seize the opportunity next time you spot it. Maybe keep some snake tongs in the truck?
