    Per the internets:

How to turn hill assist off 1 Hold down traction control button till light goes off 2 Press button again 3 Turn car off then back on should see hill assist light on indicating it is off.

You can also disable the seatbelt chime, but I forget the specifics. I think it’s ignition to run, buckle / unbuckle 20x and shut off ignition.

The pin to unlock the car from the trunk when you don’t have your key is rad as well.

    I'm down. Thanks,

Hell, I haven't even noticed traction control, etc. Just pulled the manual out of the plastic this morning.

I brought it home Monday, and have only driven 2x since.

Once the tree guys are done cleaning up, gonna go for a drive, need to get some stuff done, grab meat for dinner.

And I saw reference to a pin, but, didn't see a keypad, so, didn't put any thought into it. Guess I should go re-read that section.

    And thanks.

I did the excellent BMW Driving Experience today.

I am significantly worse at driving than I realized. I also now want an M340i.

    Okay, here goes.

Rear Cargo Tray - J501SFJ400 - Got this for under $30 picked up from a Subaru dealer that does order online, pick up in store.
[IMG]IMG_8824 by Mike M, on Flickr

JDM Coin Holder - 66170VA010VH - Replaces the useless fuse panel flap with a pocket. I got mine for $9.00 as an add-on item when I made another purchase at Subie Speed.
[IMG]IMG_8696 by Mike M, on Flickr

JDM Armrest Extension - J2017FG000MG Raises up the OEM armrest lid about 4" and gives a second pocket on the top of the extension. This dramatically changed the center console for me. There are two color options MG and JC. I chose MG which is the lighter option, JC is jet, jet black and I thought that would look sillier. My photos are to show the worst of the color match, I find it looks MUCH closer in person. Not perfect, but not like this photo. I got it for about $157 shipped from SMY

Lastly, the OEM HVAC Blower motor cover from a Crosstrek - 66066FJ010 and 99045AE020JC (x2). It's an insulated panel that lowers the sound from the blower at partial fan speed. I haven't had my fan on enough to truly hear the noise, but this allegedly makes a huge difference.

The Homelink mirror is also super useful if you need it, but I'll spare you the details. Subaru wants $370 for the kit, I pieced it together for just over $100.

Lastly, there was a police chase by my house that ended in the suspect fleeing into my back yard before he was caught.

Nothing better than drifting off to sleep, hearing a bunch of sirens and then all of a sudden hearing "GUN GUN GUN". I wish this was the first time I can say a police pursuit ended in my yard, but somehow it isn't. This guy tried to run from the cops on a moped. A moped! At least the first guy had a Corolla. Neither are exactly useful in a pursuit, but c'mon. A moped?

Indeed. It was a night last night. Kids were acting up, wife was out with friends, she gets home and then there's a dude handcuffed on the ground next to my decorative pond. (sigh)

    @MikeyMcFly

Thanks, the armrest is already on my list.
The car came with a full set of weather tech mats, including cargo tray. Took out the front, because, I think there's detailer sprayed some brightener on it, or something. Slick as hell. Put the carpeted ones in for now.

The fan motor thing, I will have to look into. I'm a windows down, open sunroof, etc guy, so, I haven't even heard the fan yet... lol

Edit: odd that WT is hyperlinked, as I didn't do that.... and doesn't show up in the edit screen.

Good deal with the WT setup. I seem to remember at one point Subaru of New England spec'ing a WT package for the cars as a port option. My friend gave me a pair of HuskyLiners from his 2018 he traded in. I've been guilty of doing 303 on my mats and sending my wife flying getting in / out.

I'm with you on road noise, certainly, but I figure if I can minimize extraneous noise when I'm trying to be quiet, all the better. I'm not even doing aftermarket exhaust on this one, though. I have the rest of my to-do list to go through, but they're not nearly as cheap as the things I listed above.

Yea those arent the easiest to install. I put a corsa catback on my other buddy's 2019 WRX. Wasn't too bad but the car was relatively new then. Still no room to work though.

That was always a fear of mine. Thankfully it hasn't happened, but I did do a fair amount of hill starts in my parents driveway before going out on the road

My 2017 Tacoma SR 5 speed MT has hill hold, which releases once your foot is off the brake petal for about two seconds, even without releasing the clutch.

    Too many to list...
I put an Invidia cat back system on my STI, backed it onto ramps and then jacked the rear up from there. While the furthest forward clamp was tight to reach, it worked well. Used cardboard to lie on since I wouldn't fit under the car with a creeper...

I know I'm not always local to NE, y'all have helped out a time or two so thought I'd share that we are selling my tacoma... With a 2nd kiddo on the way, we've outgrown the back seat and are moving up to a Tundra (which I get to build out as the next project - fun!).
If anyone might be interested, here's the FS page w/ build list: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/fs-2016-tacoma-dcsb-w-gfc-fully-built-n-va-dc-dmv.862017/

Is anyone in the business of installing ductless mini splits? If so, my parents are looking for someone to get some quotes.
