Toyota owners website under the vin of my new to me truck only shows like 3-4 records. The carafax shows 21 records all at the same Toyota dealer. Any idea why? Anyone else experience that?

You made me look... I set up an account at the Toyota Owners Home and it shows all the dealer service back to the first service in MT 5/3/10 at 2480 miles to the latest service at an Idaho dealer 5/1/2025.

because the Toyota website only shows work done by a Toyota dealership, carfax can show from independent mechanics shops.

It really doesn’t matter I guess but it would be nice if it was on there. I just wish you could click on the records and read the service reports

I had something similar. Three trips and nothing logged on the web site.
Their excuse - "We haven't closed those out and gotten around to uploading them into the database." Had a whiff of blinker fluid on their breath when they said that.

by the way the truck is probably nicer than I expected. Frame is 9/10 so that wasn’t a concern after all. But guess what? The damn ac was so low on freon it blew 90° heat no cool air at all. I guess somehow Toyota missed that on their inspection. Dealer and Toyota said kick rocks so that sucks.

Glad it worked out for you! The AC should be an easy fix

yeah I’d say it is. Was just a little frustrating. I guess that happens when you buy something used though

no doubt. Especially at a dealer. I hold them to a higher standard personally. You know when you pay a dealers price it’s going to be done right, or you hope.

also when I contacted the dealer they were no help. If it was my shop I would have said “dang us missing that probably just cost you $1000 dollars at least let me refund your inspection fee”

but no they told me too bad pretty much
