I'm hoping it rains so I don't have to water the flowers.

 

Evening gents. Was a swamp ass type of day. Felt like I was in a oven with the humidity set on high today. Gross.

 

It's raining. I won't have to water the flowers tonight. Hopefully it will lower the temps a little.

 

I just finished watching O'Neil Cruz hitting a few balls a country mile. The Pirates are bad overall, so I'll take any entertainment I can get out of them.

So what was the reason..a hangnail, or did his goldfish give birth to puppies?

 

Yep, for the last week I've been out tearing down, stacking, loading and unloading gondola shelving from a local rite aid store that closed down. Went thru 4 hats, 4 shirts and two pairs of shorts and underwear each day within 4-6 hours. It's been hot and I'm definitely dehydrated eventhough I drank way more than enough water, orange juice and Gatorade to keep a soccer team hydrated. Here's a couple pictures of some of the loads I hauled out.



















Each load was between 5,216lbs and 5,489lbs

Definitely Swamp Ass and Bayou Balls weather.

Got some serious rain in my county. First time ever the field next door started holding water and still was until dark. Couple towns over several roads flooded over for a while. The front just stalled and dumped a bunch of rain. What a crazy year. Waiting to see if it seeps into the basement in the back again

My truck is a 2013 Tacoma BAJA but I've since replaced the complete suspension with Ironman4x4 Foam Cell Pro suspension heavy duty leafsprings in back (could've went with medium duty). Medium duty coilsprings in the front (didn't want the full 3" lift up front, just 2" to have a slight rake in back). The brakes are also upgraded front and rear Front Powerstop Z36 caliper/rotors and pads, Rear Powerstop Z36 drums /shoes and hardware. I tow and haul with this everyday, it's what I do for work. I drive the truck like a manual somewhat even though it's an automatic because of all of the steep hills in Pittsburgh. Start out in 2nd gear unless on a hill, than 1st with a heavy load on and don't usually shift up into 5th (overdrive gear) unless I'm on a flatter section of highway going above 60-65mph. I'm a truck driver by trade of 36 years so I've got alot of experience on how to drive/tow/haul anything with a trailer on it. The truck is rated from the factory at 7,500lbs, my trailer is a 7x18 Lamar car hauler rated at 7,000lbs. 99.5% of the time I keep under or right under the weight limit. There are occasions like these loads where I went over slightly but I'm extra cautious when I am. Don't want to damage my truck or trailer anddefinitely don't want to get into an accident.

 

We had a guy on one of my old league teams who wasn't very reliable, especially if any real traveling came about. Last straw for me was when he knew people weren't coming a few days ahead and that we needed him, calls me that afternoon saying he just doesn't feel like it tonight and is going out with his friends.

I and a couple of others surmised his next excuse would be "dog ate my darts" or "my goldfish gave birth to puppies", among others. Or perhaps "oh I'm constipated"
