Tenacious D came on my Spotify mix this morning... so already off to a solid start for the day. Surprised myself by still knowing all the words to Tribute.

Man I get what they're up to here, but shoving a random combination RISC/graphical parallel processor card in a computer without extensive software support to make things call the instruction sets it excels at is gonna make for a nearly computationally useless space heater... Now if someone can figure out how to offload PS5 game code to real time translator for use on x86... that could be interesting and probably very lawsuit worthy. The way they're using it in that driver set is as a lame GFX card. Since the AMD drivers are probably the only obvious part they can properly use.

I understand the whole concept, but I just can't get into T-D. I've tried, just can't. I guess it's like Zappa and Captain Beefheart (both of which I like...). You either like it, or don't

They're a goofball band for sure, it's mostly about the memories at this point. Buddies and I were always signing crap from the Pick of Destiny album in high school while we were bored or warming up in theatre... or sometimes just randomly when their band threw an extra song into a set and I'd join. I like Zappa too lol

I never really had friends in High School. Growing up in farm country the "weird" ones were cast aside... :pout:

One of the reasons I left after 10th grade.

Why doesn’t anybody like the NBA out there? I feel like I’m the only basketball fan in the inland northwest. Maybe it’s cause the Sonics got taken away?

You can't seriously say that being within a couple hours of Spokane... we are literally known as Hooptown USA.... we have Hoopfest. Gonzaga Basketball is a religion here. Though Idaho doesn't have any professional sports teams... so lol, buncha losers.

I meant moreso around Moscow. Idk which NBA team they even support around here - I guess the Blazers are closest.

I gave back about as much as I got back in high school, definitely wasn't a cool kid, but I wasn't disliked either. But I didn't take shit that I didn't deserve and had a reputation for making sure that score stayed even.

I just never found basketball all that exciting unless it’s a neck and neck game in the last few minutes. Points constantly being scored back and forth all game long so not much to cheer about until the end and only if it’s a close game

not to mention, like in soccer if you look at someone the wrong way you get a penalty or foul on called on it.

Just added it up and I only have 10 hours this work week that are not actively scheduled with a meeting :bananadead: Sure that number is going to shrink too…

Yeah I find basketball pretty boring to watch, kinda fun to play and the three on three tournament Spokane does every year is fun to watch. But at a pro level... eh just dudes scoring slowly and getting fouled a ton.
