Replacement Frame in 1st Gen already rotted beyond repair.

Had a mod look under the hood, apparently no user account fishiness. Maybe it's just a sad and lonely AI bot.

Seems like he is confusing a mileage based wear item with a time based one, as I see it.

Why he wouldn't get the new frame treated on his own is puzzling but to each their own I reckon. I didn't treat my 2010 even though my wife had a 96 bought back some time prior, but I did my diligence on the inspections through Toyota and ended up with a new frame in 2021. That frame has been treated yearly.

 

I made the mistake of not getting my 2nd frame treated. Now after paying for frame repair you can guarantee I will be coating oil on it twice a year.

 

By the time I'd learned the 2Gs were doing it in my year it was a few years and I'd received the first letter to get it inspected, which I got the coating applied after it passed that Toyota was using. I did nothing more as I figured if it's going to rot let it rot under 12 yrs..which it did.

Possible yes, but the way it was written seemed to read otherwise.

 

I know you guys in the East Bridgewater area love to use salt every where, but here in Athol they coat the roads like 15 times with it just to make sure they didn't miss anything.

 

Yup, that's how we do it on the Beast side haha..but mine also stays outside year round
