Just wondering since all of us love our Tacomas so much. Do you have a name for it. I named mine Runaway Train.

Been spinning wrenches for 40+ years and I always have a nicknames for my vehicles, my boats etc. They are all differernt with their quirks.
I will tell you what I have seen, if you treat her nice, all vehicles are female btw, if you listen to her when she is telling you things... hmm, that starter is starting to sound odd and you repair her, she wont leave you stranded. Most guys have better relationships with thier cars, trucks, bikes than they do with thier signifigant other. The people who call thier vehicles pieces of crap or other negative names have a tendency to have "bad luck" with vehicles. Luck has nothing to do with it.

OK, you reminded me that I have named a vehicle, sort of. The hotrod builder Jimmy Shine (SoCal Speed, other stuff) was a good friend from 1st grade until we both left school at 16. He built an old 40's gasser style Willy's truck at like 14-15 and we would drive that thing to Glamis pulling a trailer. Called it "Ankle burner". The headers were just on the other side of some sheet metal. Still got a burn scar.

Ours went the other route. Had a double transfer case, so we had hi, low and mid range, home made flatbed, some 44" monster gumbo mudders, no power steering but a suicide knob, and only the front left brake worked. Plus, you could see the ground through the floor board. Had some fun times off roading in that thing.
