do you think he can take some of mine too? shit. my calendar was booked from 9:30-12:15, then I have 2 meetings starting at 1pm and another late afternoon. gaps are filled with reviewing other people's work, catching up on sending/reading status updates, and the like

idk when I'm supposed to get my work done lol

 

You can work when you've finished working... as a treat.

 

I hated meetings so much, and really I shouldn't complain cause they were only once a week on Friday mornings

Half the time someone was always pumping themselves up, and the other half was spent talking about petty shit that could be dealt without everyone else present

 

I don't think he codes or whatever you do

my non technical manager has decided to start making code changes with that and its… not good

 

it really isnt that nice, i still gotta use brain way too much in the wrong ways

I realized some months ago that I wasn't getting notifications to join the weekly B2B meeting I was usually a part of, then it occurred to me that when I finally got my new computer last year I never downloaded the Teams app. No one said anything so I just never had to go to the meetings again lol.

I definitely would not start, I send emails through it for proof read but that's where it stops

 

I actually had this happen once trying to warn a friend lol

 

I dunno these days, seems like a position physically doing something is a good idea until people figure out (trial by fire) that AI isn't quite able to just blanket replace all the white collar desk folks.

 

All this talk about work made me think of this

 

man these mid day headaches are killing me, weirdly not getting them on the weekends at home. But at work, every day like clockwork around 1pm they start coming on. Never happened before (until a couple weeks ago).

Wonder if the air quality in this building is still an issue from the fires back in January. For about a month after the entire building reeked like smoke (and not just wildfire smoke, burning neighborhoods/cars smoke) until they finally brought in some industrial sized air purifiers that ran for a week. Shit is pounding my head and starts going away once I get home
