so i lost my fog lights when i put my tube bumper on...i just pinned the OEM wires up in the meantime

i ordered rigid ditch lights in spot/driving pattern and caliraised lowpro mount

was going to run straight to battery but coworker said i should tap into the OEM fog wires
i have and use OEM switch and whatnot. he said the LED rigids will be fine on the oem wiring and switch, they draw less than halogen he said and have a factory relay. if i do this what to do with Rigid switch they provide? tuck it away or I use some of those wires as well??

Does what he suggested make sense? if so i am def going that route, as otherwise i was going to battery and running toggle red switch somewhere haha I dont want to add a relay or aux box or anything like that, because i truly am done with lighting after these two pods + oem trd pro headlights

    thanks

What your coworker said makes sense as long as you are aware your ditch lights would only work with the headlights on and with low beam only.

There's also a anytime fog light mod somewhere on this forum if the above conditions doesn't satisfy you. If you decide otherwise, I personally would not run it straight to battery.

thank you. id want to run the anytime mod like you alluded to, but still leaning towards tapping into the fog wires

i have to figure out extend the wiring for the two locations and also researching i see some people
mess up the oem button illumination, so this will be a project i bring along but might refer to coworker
who is good with electric to button it up - offer him lunch or something

    thanks for the info!!
